About Wudsmitten Cabinetry

I began woodworking in Cambridge, Massachusetts for Charles Webb, Inc. where I learned the machining and assembly of their high quality  contemporary style of furniture.

In 1986, I moved  to Vermont, working for Dubriell Woodworks and Vermont Creations, making custom furniture and office installations. In 1995 I worked for Brian Toomey's Mill Shop producing moldings and millwork for custom-made installations for homes and office.

By 1995, I began assembling the machinery for my own shop. located on Trumbull Hill in Shaftsbury, Vermont. In 1998 I started my business, Wudsmitten Cabinetry. Most of the work shown was produced from lumber harvested and dried in Vermont

Thank you for taking the time to view my work. For further information, feel free to contact me with any questions, I look forward to hearing from you.

Why Custom Cabinetry?

Whether you were disappointed by the quality of workmanship, or of the materials used, you may have come to appreciate the integrity brought to a piece of furniture by a woodworker dedicated to the highest standards he can offer. The flexibility to adjust dimensions to fit your space needs, is of course, a quality that sets a small shop apart from a large production facility, along with supplying an American made product. Often designs evolve through our collective modifications that personalize  each piece and help account for some of the warmth and comfort brought to your home or office.
